Families can travel back in time with Baby Knees Up – VE Day 80 Special on 9 May. Join Tom Carradine from Carradine’s Cockney Singalong for a nostalgic singalong marking 80 years since Victory in Europe. This lively event unites generations in an uplifting celebration of resilience, hope, and camaraderie through the magic of music. Expect wartime favourites like We’ll Meet Again, spirited singalongs such as Knees Up Mother Brown, along with plenty of flag-waving fun, bubbles galore, and dancing for all ages!
One of London’s largest and most important social and cultural hub spaces, Woolwich Works is a multi-disciplinary events venue set across multiple buildings in the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. The landmark venue opened its doors in September 2021 and was named London’s ‘favourite new venue’ by Time Out. The exciting, ever-changing programme of entertaining and inspirational live performances includes cutting-edge contemporary music, award-winning stand-up comedy, as well as theatre, dance, cabaret and everything in between
For those who crave adventure and storytelling, Breathe on 27-28 May offers an award-finalist immersive theatre experience that beckons audiences into the enchanting world hidden within trees. With breathtaking puppetry and stunning visuals set to a unique blend of drum & bass fused with ethereal folk music, follow the journey of a tiny acorn as it uncovers forest mysteries. Young theatre enthusiasts can also dive into puppet-making workshops where they’ll create their own woodland creatures using natural materials while learning puppetry techniques from the show’s creators.
Calling all Swifties! Experience Taylor Swift’s Music Reimagined (Strings Version): An Unofficial Tribute Show on 6 June! Performed by City String Ensemble, this intimate string quartet concert puts a classical spin on Taylor Swift’s greatest hits. Fans will revel in songs spanning all her eras with opportunities to vote for additional live performances. Plus, it’s also an album launch event offering audiences an exclusive first listen to City String Ensemble’s brand-new tribute record.
And don’t miss Boppin’ Bunnies returning joyfully on 14 June! This interactive high-energy music show is crafted especially for babies, toddlers, and their families. Led by professional musicians guiding little ones through exploring instruments like violins and trumpets to kazoos and ukuleles—there are endless chances to dance around joyfully while singing along or shaking percussion instruments during this heartwarming musical adventure designed just right for everyone!
