By Their Fruits At Theatre 503

Studio Wayne McGregor Resident 6 artist dkfash, known for works like “Is Dat U Yh?” at Brixton House and “Fragments of a Complicated Mind” at Theatre503, is set to present her latest interdisciplinary play at Theatre503 this November. Titled “by their fruits,” the production promises a unique blend of poetry, grit, and physical theatre. It will guide audiences through an evocative exploration of love’s complexities, focusing on themes of romance and obsession.

The play offers poignant vignettes into the lives of two lovers, portrayed by Ivan Oyik (known from BBC’s “Doctors” and Southwark Playhouse’s “Shook”) and Reba Ayi-Sobsa (from Netflix’s “Black Mirror” and The Production Exchange’s “Daisy Chains”). Their performances will communicate in a poetic language that invites audiences to experience an unfiltered portrayal of connection, dependency, inner struggles, and self-discovery.

Set against a surrealist backdrop that examines fixation and familial trauma within contemporary romance narratives, the production challenges whether these characters can overcome obstacles to reunite. Supported by Arts Council England and the 2021 Eclipse Award—delayed due to the pandemic—this project highlights do.know.feel’s commitment to instinctual interdisciplinary collaboration across stage arts.

Led by Creative Producer Wofai (a London Theatre Consortium Page Fellow) alongside Artistic Director dkfash (with movement credits from National Theatre among others), do.know.feel fosters cultural innovation through collaborative efforts with associate artists like Olivier Award-nominated Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu (“For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy”) and International Choreographer Patience James (“Strictly Come Dancing”). Writer-director dkfash expresses excitement about exploring new creative territories while finally redeeming the Eclipse Award.
