There has been recent uproar regarding the notification given to some current and forthcoming cast members for the close of the production of Cinderella in June. The cast was told about the closure on Sunday afternoon..Cinderella is currently performing in the West End and stars Carrie-Hope Fletcher.
Whilst the Really Useful Group appears to have attempted to contact cast members, some of their agent’s won’t have been working due to it being a bank holiday. Some of the cast found out via social media or from friends.
Carrie-Hope Fletcher who is in the title role was heartbroken by the news as well as several other cast members.
Daisy Twells was due to be performing in the production in July of this year and posted on her instagram of her sadness at this decision.
However what was heartbreaking was the way some cast members heard of the news.
It is incredibly sad when a production which seems so successful has to end, a loss of one show brings many tears but a loss without proper notification is even sadder.
I hope the current cast and future cast there were due to take over roles in the production and find another opportunity quickly.
