Scheduled to take place at Birmingham Rep Theatre and sure to take audiences by storm in June of 2025, this remarkable production is bound to deliver a riveting experience unlike any other.
Based on the novel authored by the esteemed Neil Gaiman (renowned for his works such as The Ocean at the End of the Lane, Good Omens and Doctor Who), this stage adaptation is skillfully crafted by the award-winning playwright and screenwriter, Zinnie Harris. Marked by its hauntingly imaginative and visually striking world-building, this dark fantasy narrative will transport viewers to a mysterious realm entranced by the seductive yet deeply sinister “Other Mother”.
Initially published in 2002 by the esteemed British author, Neil Gaiman, Coraline gained widespread acclaim for its gothic charm and the empowering coming-of-age of its young protagonist. As the tale unfolds, young Coraline’s seemingly average life takes a turn for the bizarre, as she and her family move into a new house. Unbeknownst to her, she is about to embark on a journey fraught with danger, as she uncovers the unsettling truth behind her surroundings.
