Show Racism the Red Card is proud to reveal the full cast for the 2026 revival of OUR LITTLE HOUR, the acclaimed musical celebrating the life and legacy of Walter Tull. The production will tour theatres across the UK from 3 February to 21 March 2026, including a Newcastle stop at Alphabetti Theatre from 5–7 March.
Returning to the role that captivated audiences during the sell-out 2024 tour, LEON NEWMAN steps back into the shoes of Walter Tull. He is joined once again by NEIL REIDMAN, fresh from London’s West End where he appeared as Major Metcalf in the legendary The Mousetrap. Neil reprises his role as Daniel Tull.
New to the cast is GEEBS MARIE WILLIAMS, taking on the role of Walter’s mother, Alice, following her acclaimed run in the Barn Theatre hit Haywire.
Reflecting on the swift return of the production—less than 18 months after its first tour—Leon Newman said he was “not surprised that the show had been so well received,” noting that “everywhere we went audiences were profoundly moved by this wonderful piece of musical theatre.”
Described as “an intensely moving new musical drama” and “highly emotionally charged and utterly compelling”, OUR LITTLE HOUR tells the extraordinary true story of Walter Tull: the first Black footballer to play at the highest level in the UK, and later the first man of his heritage to be commissioned as an officer in the British Army.
Written by award-winning playwright Dougie Blaxland with music by celebrated composer Chris Anthony, the production weaves 16 original songs with a lyrical, poetic script to chart Tull’s remarkable journey—from the grandson of a Barbadian slave and orphaned at eight, to a trailblazer who defied the barriers of his time.
Director Amanda Horlock calls the musical “a celebration of the life of an extraordinary man whose pioneering spirit continues to inspire the campaign for justice and equality.”
Paul Kearns, Director of Operations at Show Racism the Red Card, added: “This production tells a really important story which reinforces the work we do, engaging new audiences in celebrating Walter Tull’s legacy.”
The 2026 tour begins with an opening week at Greenwich Theatre, London, from 3–7 February, before travelling nationwide through to late March.
