A Bold And Ambitious Theatrical Production Of Storehouse

Sage & Jester, an innovative arts production company, is set to unveil the world premiere of Storehouse, a bold and ambitious theatrical production designed to challenge perceptions of truth and trust. Opening on Wednesday 4th June at Deptford Storehouse in London, Storehouse is poised to be one of the UK’s most daring large-scale immersive theatre experiences. This production invites audiences into a meticulously archived world where humanity’s stories have been preserved since 1983, marking the dawn of the internet era. As visitors explore this captivating underworld, they will encounter forces that shape everyday narratives and question their own societal roles and behaviours.

Set across an expansive area equivalent to two football fields, Storehouse immerses audiences in a dramatic conflict between defenders of Truth and keepers of Order. As secrets unravel within the crumbling structure, viewers are prompted to consider the true cost of narrative control and reflect on their vulnerability against powerful influences. By blending art with technology and cutting-edge storytelling techniques, this immersive show encourages audiences to contemplate how they can safeguard themselves—and others—from manipulation within today’s digital information landscape.

The creative vision for Storehouse is led by Founder Liana Patarkatsishvili alongside Creative Director Sophie Larsmon and Lead Producer Rosalyn Newbery. The project brings together an award-winning team including Story Producer Donnacadh O’Brian (Operation Mincemeat), co-writers Tristan Bernays (Boudica), Sonali Bhattacharyya (King Troll), Kathryn Bond (IT’S TRUE…), Katie Lyons (Peaky Blinders: The Rise), Caro Murphy (Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser) and Rhik Samadder (The Indian Boy). Production design by Alice Helps ensures an eco-conscious experience using raw materials; Julie Belinda Landau handles costume design; Ben Donoghue oversees lighting; while James Bulley manages sound design.

Deptford Storehouse serves as the venue for this groundbreaking event over its vast 9,000 square metre space—once Rupert Murdoch’s News International paper store—now transformed into a thought-provoking stage setting derived from organic materials.

Founded by Georgian-born media executive Liana Patarkatsishvili with extensive television/arts sector expertise—Sage & Jester aims through Storehouse—to inspire critical thinking about information consumption’s societal impact: “Having witnessed manipulated information’s systemic effects personally/nationally/internationally,” says Patarkatsishvili “I feel compelled towards sharing insights/affecting change.”

Grounded firmly upon research conducted rigorously over years—including original data collection—Creative Researcher Aoife van Linden Tol highlights how Sage & Jester weaves knowledge into creativity ensuring alignment with mission-driven behavioural change encouragements amidst misinformation challenges faced today globally!
