Curve Theatre Prepares For The Arrival Of Calamity Jane

As rehearsals commence, Jamie Wilson Productions is pleased to announce the complete casting for the revival of The Watermill Theatre’s dynamic production of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical, Calamity Jane. This production will tour across the UK and Ireland starting January 2025 before heading to the West End.

Joining previously announced multi-award-winning West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher as Calamity Jane are Vinny Coyle as Wild Bill Hickock, Luke Wilson as Danny, Seren Sandham-Davies as Katie Brown, Peter Peverley as Henry Miller, Hollie Cassar as Susan, Isaac Savage as Francis Fryer, Molly-Grace Cutler as Adelaide Adams, Richard Lock as Rattlesnake, Ben Mabberley in dual roles of Hank and Stage Door Keeper, Fergus Murphy portraying Joe and Harry, Tomas Wolstenholme taking on Buck’s role and Claire Greenway playing Doc. The ensemble is completed by swings Emma Jane Morton, Lara Lewis, Jacob Leeson, Theo Diedrick and Stephen Scott Stark.

This production marks a decade since its initial tour with direction by Curve Artistic Director Nikolai Foster alongside co-direction and choreography by Nick Winston. Orchestration is overseen by Catherine Jayes while Matthew Wright handles set and costume design. Lighting design is provided by Tim Mitchell with sound design from Ben Harrison; casting is managed by Debbie O’Brien.

Carrie Hope Fletcher brings her award-winning talent to this role following her recent success in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella among other notable performances such as Veronica in Heathers. Beyond theatre she has authored several best-selling novels maintaining a significant social media presence.

Based on Doris Day’s beloved film adaptation featuring classic songs like “The Deadwood Stage” (Whip-Crack-Away) this vibrant new staging invites audiences into Calamity Jane’s adventurous world filled with humour romance rivalry all set against Dakota territory backdrop.
