Hold onto your hats, folks! Birmingham Hippodrome has just unveiled its 2025 season

Get ready for an exhilarating year at Birmingham Hippodrome! They’ve just announced that next year’s pantomime will be the enchanting Robin Hood, featuring the legendary Matt Slack from Saturday 20th December 2025 to Sunday 1st February 2026. But that’s not all—March brings the Musical Theatre Writers Group Showcase on Thursday 6th March, offering a sneak peek at dazzling new musicals in development. From heartwarming true tales to whimsical washing machines, there’s something magical for everyone from this talented group.

Families are in for a treat with Nick Sharratt’s ‘Shark in the Park’ books coming to life on stage at the Patrick Studio from Saturday 29th March to Sunday 6th April. This fin-tastic family musical promises thrilling adventures with Timothy Pope and his trusty telescope!

And brace yourselves—RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq the World Tour is hitting our stage on Sunday 30th March with more sparkle than ever before! Hosted by Sasha Velour and starring fabulous queens like Derrick Barry and Jaida Essence Hall, it’s going to be an unforgettable night of glamour.

April sees Aakash Odedra bringing Songs of the Bulbul—a captivating dance work inspired by ancient Sufi myths—to life from Tuesday 8th April to Thursday 10th April. Plus, don’t miss British Youth Music Theatre’s Naughty Carriage on the Orphan Train later that month—a spirited musical about finding family against all odds.

May introduces Bibi Rukiya’s Reckless Daughter, a compelling dance-theatre piece exploring patriarchy within family structures through powerful choreography by Amina Khayyam.

Come October, Motionhouse returns with Hidden—a brand-new production delving into our shared challenges in today’s divided world. With accessible performances throughout the season including Audio Described and BSL interpreted shows, everyone can join in on this spectacular journey!
