I recently attended Adelphi Theatre In London to watch a production of Back To The Future ( Musical).
Instantly I felt like my childhood memories resurfaced when I originally saw the film. I was blown away by the orchestra playing the Back To The Future theme.
What proceeded was a show that was outstanding in every possible way, with no faults identified. It was a flawless performance by the cast and the backstage crew.
The lighting and sound were spot on and I could hear all the cast members clearly, the music delivered by a live orchestra was just the icing on the cake.
The cast members had such enthusiasm and energy and all their mannerisms were in line with their characters.
The scenery was superb with lots of little details added and always something on the stage to be memorized by.
The special effects were absolutely fantastic and I felt I was part of the action all the way through, I felt no detachment from the show.
I always give a shout to performers who shone for me:
Ben Joyce played Marty Mcfly and played this character very well, mostly on stage throughout, his stamina lasted. Stephen Leask played Doc Brown and gave an excellent performance, his acting was brilliant, a very polished performance. I absolutely loved Sarah Goggin’s portrayal of Lorraine, energy, excellent singing and stage presence, combined which delivered an exceptional performance. I really enjoyed Oliver Nicholas’s portrayal of George Mcfly, a totally believable character. The ensemble were fantastic and I especially liked the female entourage on Lorraine’s numbers, when she was swooning over Marty.
The production overall was sensational and I was in awe of this production, I had a big smile on myself at times, the audience could have been a bit more reciprocal on the jokes within the production but by 2nd half the audience warmed up more.
Do not have any doubts on seeing this production, its a must. Book your ticket now, no now… go do it!
