Lovelies, I’m not in the mood to tiptoe today — this is urgent Fringe business. Our gal Nicole Nadler has brought her exposure therapy show to Edinburgh. She’s been brave enough to share her art, her story, her heart — and what’s she getting? Tiny audiences. Unfair digs online. And as her Instagram shows, she’s running on fumes, crying after shows, and still turning up each day to give her whole self on stage.
That, my dears, is not just hard — it’s heartbreaking. And it’s not how we should be treating anyone brave enough to bring their work to this festival.
Nicole is a fantastic performer. Yes, her show may still be finding its feet — but honestly, who is flawless at the Fringe? This festival is the place to experiment, to take risks, to learn and grow in front of a living, breathing audience. Nicole is doing exactly what Edinburgh was built for: being bold, being raw, and being unafraid to put herself out there.
So, here’s my message to you all — especially my sisters, my allies, my champions of the underdog: it’s time to make some noise.
Not polite applause. Not “oh, maybe next week.” I mean now.
💌 Book a ticket.
💌 Show up in the front row.
💌 Whoop, cheer, holler until your voice cracks.
💌 Post about her. Tag her. Tell your mates.
💌 Be the reason she walks off stage with her head high and her heart full.
Every seat you fill isn’t just a ticket sold — it’s a vote of confidence in an artist who’s giving everything she has. It’s a stand against the cold shoulders and the cheap shots. And it’s a reminder that the Fringe is a place where bravery is rewarded, not punished.
Nicole Nadler deserves a sell-out. She deserves the kind of audience that carries her through the hard nights and into the light. She deserves to be backed, supported, and hollered for until she can’t stop smiling.
And to those taking cheap shots online — let me ask you this: have you stood under the lights at the Fringe, staring down a room of strangers, heart pounding while you bare your soul? Have you poured your own money, sleepless nights, and every scrap of courage you’ve got into making something from nothing? If the answer is no, then perhaps keep your jabs to yourself. It’s easy to snipe from the sidelines; it’s a whole different game to step onto that stage and give it everything. Nicole’s up there doing the work.
🎭 Give her a go.
🎭 Back her.
🎭 Whoop her.
🎭 Invest in her — because she’s worth it.
This is the Fringe — let’s prove it’s still a festival that lifts people up. Now, off you pop and book your seats.
Grace x

My wife and I saw the performance on Aug 22. We thoroughly enjoyed it and were moved by it. Nicole (I feel like we’re on a first name basis even though she doesn’t know anything about us) was honest, vulnerable, deeply reflective, funny, and endearing.
We couldn’t help but cheer for her to overcome the undeserved stressors and neuroses of life. While the show may give Nicole some therapeutic benefit, I truly believe the audience members received the greatest benefit, that of self introspection prompted by Nicole’s honest assessment of herself.
We highly recommend the show, and if you read this, Nicole, please know if we were your parents, we would fully and unconditionally support you and encourage you. Well done.
