A Taste of Ireland
Right, gather round, my darlings — I’ve just had word of a show that’s set to high-kick its way into London and leave the Peacock Theatre quaking in its seat cushions. If you’ve ever thought Irish dance was just tapping about in a sparkly frock, Éireann is about to prove you wrong in the most spectacular fashion. We’re talking world champions, live musicians, ancient legends, a smattering of Viking invaders, and enough emotional punch to knock your flat cap clean off. Honestly, it’s practically an Olympic sport, only with better music.
Éireann by A Taste of Ireland – UK Premiere at the Peacock Theatre
Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 August 2025
🎟Tickets from £18 – Available Now
From the creators of the international touring hit A Taste of Ireland comes a bold, reimagined production — Éireann by A Taste of Ireland — making its UK premiere this summer in a strictly limited run at the Peacock Theatre.
Blending traditional Irish dance with cutting-edge stagecraft and a powerful original score, Éireann takes audiences on an unforgettable journey through Ireland’s history — from the mists of ancient mythology and Viking conquests to the famine years, the Easter Rising, and beyond.
A World-Class Cast
The show features 16 exceptional dancers and four brilliant musicians, including alumni of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, alongside multiple Irish dancing world champions. Expect precision footwork, boundless energy, and storytelling that hits straight in the heart.
Among the cast:
- Gavin Shevlin (Donegal): Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, 2× World Champion
- Julia O’Rourke (New York): 5× World Champion, featured in documentary Jig
- Alliyah O’Hare (Birmingham): 9× World Champion, Lord of the Dance: Feet of Flames (Taiwan)
- Callum O’Neill (Birmingham): World Champion, Riverdance 25th Anniversary UK Tour
- Cian Walsh (Cork): 2nd in the World, 7× Munster Champion
- Clara Sheppard (Belfast): World Champion, Lord of the Dance
These dancers hail from Ireland, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, bringing an infectious international energy to the stage.
Live Music & Cinematic Storytelling
The performance is underscored by live music from award-winning talents such as:
- Megan McGinley (Donegal): Fiddle – Lord of the Dance, Young Musician of the Year
- Aaron O’Grady (Cork): Guitar – Musical Director: Celtic by Candlelight, Associate Musical Director: Éireann
With direction by Brent Pace (A Taste of Ireland – Off Broadway) and Ceili Moore (World Champion, Riverdance), plus musical direction by Charlie Galloway (Talisk), Éireann is both a tribute to Ireland’s lyrical spirit and a redefinition of Irish dance for the 21st century.
A Global Success Story Comes to London
Having toured Australia, New Zealand, North America, and enjoyed a critically acclaimed Off-Broadway run, Éireann now makes its first major West End appearance. This redeveloped version promises to be a poetic, exhilarating celebration of identity, tradition, folklore, and innovation.
As director Brent Pace puts it:
“Éireann is more than just a dance show — it’s a real love letter to Ireland. We’ve poured our hearts into reimagining the power of Irish storytelling through movement, music, and visuals. I can’t wait for London audiences to experience this next chapter.”
With only four performances and tickets starting at just £18, this is a rare chance to see world-class dance in the West End without spending a pot o’ gold.
