What’s in Grace’s Satchel?
Disco 2000 is coming to London
Right, theatre lovers. Gather round the sorting desk, because I have a delivery that has me practically sprinting down the street with excitement.
Our Satchel of Stars winners from the Edinburgh Fringe — Disco 2000 — is officially making its London debut. Yes, the award-winning gem, the one that made me laugh, feel things, and question every teenage diary entry I ever wrote… that one.
London gets it for two nights only.
Venue: The Hope Theatre, Islington
Dates: Friday 22 November and Saturday 23 November
Restrictions: No under 18s
Tickets: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/thehopetheatre/e-mqoyky
If you read my Fringe review, you’ll know exactly why this is a big deal. Disco 2000 had that rare electricity — the kind of performance where the room shifts a little. It has humour, it has heart, and it knows exactly what it’s doing. Some shows try too hard; this one doesn’t have to.
This is the kind of production where you want to be able to say later: I saw it when it first hit London.
The Hope Theatre is intimate, which means no seat is a bad seat and every expression, eye-roll, and emotional sucker punch lands right in front of you. Perfect for a show like this.
I adore seeing talent from the Fringe get a life beyond August. Shows like this deserve to breathe in a proper theatre space, with audiences who get it. And now, London gets it.
If you missed it at the Fringe, make up for it now.
If you saw it at the Fringe, go again
And if you’re sitting on the fence — remember, my satchel does not hand out awards lightly.

See you there. I’ll be the one hovering by the bar, listening for whispered “this is brilliant”
