The smash hit production of the musical ANNIE will embark on a major UK and Ireland tour, opening at New Wimbledon Theatre before visiting venues across the country, including Curve Leicester (Thursday 9 – Sunday 14 March 2027) and The Alexandra, Birmingham (Tuesday 2 – Saturday 6 June 2027). Further dates and casting will be announced soon.
Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, brave young Annie is forced to live a life of misery and torment at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Her luck soon changes when she’s chosen to spend a fairytale Christmas with famous billionaire Oliver Warbucks. But spiteful Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search for her true family…
With its Tony Award-winning book and score, this stunning production includes the unforgettable songs It’s the Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow.
And who doesn’t love a trip to Miss Hannigan’s orphanage? (Well, maybe not the kids scrubbing floors to “It’s the Hard Knock Life”… but you get my drift.) This revival of Annie is one of those golden tickets – the kind of show where you hum Tomorrow all the way home and end up side-eyeing your dog, wondering if they’d look good in a little red wig. Grace will be there, satchel stuffed with playbills and a flask of hot chocolate, ready to belt along under her breath.
