
Birmingham Rep is absolutely buzzing with excitement as it unveils even more thrilling productions for its already dazzling 2025/26 season, offering theatre enthusiasts in the Midlands a truly world-class experience right at their doorstep! The Young Rep, their cherished youth theatre company for ages 7 to 18, returns with its fourth summer festival, Home and Horizons (Wed 9-Sun 20 Jul), spotlighting young talent as they embark on journeys of adventure and self-discovery. With over 400 young performers taking the stage across an exhilarating 15 days, audiences can look forward to standout performances like Tennessee Williams’ Summer & Smoke (Fri 11 & Sat 12 Jul) and Jekyll & Hyde by Evan Placey (Sat 19 & Sun 20 Jul).
Following their triumphant co-production of The Promise in 2024, Deafinitely Theatre is back at The Door with the World Premiere of Eloise Pennycott’s BARRIER(S) (Sat 18-Sat 25 Oct). This heartwarming love story blends British Sign Language and English in a unique visual style that promises to captivate all. And for the festive season? Don’t miss Anansi The Spider (Thu Dec-Sun Jan), a magical family show that brings to life the clever antics of Anansi through enchanting storytelling.
Adding even more sparkle to this vibrant line-up is Emma (Mon Sep-Sat Oct), celebrating Jane Austen’s timeless wit; Yippee Ki Kay (Mon Oct-Tue Oct), a hilarious Die Hard parody; Black is the Color of My Voice (Wed Oct-Thu Oct), inspired by Nina Simone’s incredible journey; and much more! From spine-tingling suspense in Murder at Midnight to historical drama in Spitfire Girls, there’s something for everyone.
