Grace nearly dropped her letters on New Street when this one slid into the satchel. Feathers, sequins and a whole lot of fabulous are heading for Birmingham, and not quietly either.
Burlesque the Musical is sashaying into The Alexandra this autumn, running from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 17 October, as part of a major UK tour that will be strutting its stuff right through 2026 and 2027. And yes — this is the Burlesque. Big. Beautiful. Back.
While one production opens in the West End this summer at the brand-new Arts at Marble Arch, a second company will be packing its boas and heading out across the country, bringing the glamour directly to regional stages. Grace approves of that very much.
Based on the iconic film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Burlesque the Musical is written and directed by Steven Antin and follows a strictly limited, 100% sold-out run at the Savoy Theatre. Not bad going. Not bad at all.

Step inside a club like no other — tucked beneath the city lights, where sequins sparkle, seduction shimmers, and lives can change in the flick of a feather boa. This is a world of misfits, dreamers and schemers, where found family matters just as much as centre-stage spotlight.
When Ali arrives in New York searching for her mother, she stumbles into a dazzling underground scene that will transform her life forever. Along the way, she discovers not only her extraordinary voice, but a place where she finally belongs. Grace loves a good found-family moment — especially one with killer choreography.
The show absolutely sizzles with music, featuring songs by Christina Aguilera alongside numbers by Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley and Todrick Hall. It’s a high-octane, glitter-drenched celebration of self-discovery that knows exactly what it is and leans into it unapologetically.
Produced by Christina Aguilera, Adam Paulden, Jason Haigh-Ellery, Steven Antin, Clint Culpepper and In Fine Company, Burlesque the Musical promises glamour, grit and outrageous fun in equal measure — and a reminder we could all use now and then: life isn’t fair… it’s fabulous.
Cast and creative team announcements are still to come, but Grace will be keeping a very close eye on this one. Birmingham, start warming up those jazz hands.
