It’s my first time heading to the Edinburgh Fringe. I keep looking at my schedule of shows thinking have I made the right choice? I see another press release for a show or a Facebook post and thinking can I squeeze that in?
There is literally hundreds of show that look to be good, I am seeing very exciting show previews or press releases and I’ve had to apply some selection criteria to what I post on the blog.
If you are sending a press release to media publications, please include a link to images, also please try to ensure the press release is in a word document rather than PDF. It just makes life a little easier.
I don’ t wish to puts lots on blog as the main reason is it can be a bit too much for you as a reader. I am carefully reading all emails though and the shows which I think will resonate with you, I am sharing.
Also from all the shows I have published, I am going to put a banner on my blog to highlight that one particular show ( free advertising but also hopefully a welcome boost for that show|!) So watch this space, to see if your show is selected.
The Fringe is a true celebration of creativity, featuring an incredible array of performances, from cutting-edge theatre and comedy to thought-provoking spoken word and captivating music.
If you are going as a visitor, then start browsing the programme, book your tickets, and get ready to immerse yourself in the electric atmosphere of the Edinburgh Fringe. This is your chance to witness the birth of the next big thing, discover hidden gems, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
. Don’t forget to explore the free events and street performances that make the Fringe truly unique. You might stumble upon an impromptu comedy show, a mesmerising acrobatic display, or a soul-stirring musical performance right on the cobblestone streets. For the best Fringe experience, consider purchasing a Friends of the Fringe membership. This not only supports the festival but also gives you access to exclusive events, priority booking, and special discounts.
.Create a balanced schedule that allows time for rest and reflection between performances.
I might even visit the Johnnie Walker Whisky Experience to give me a break between shows.
