After lighting up the US with her sold-out 2024 tour, she’s crossing the pond and bringing her riotous comedy hour ‘Lizzy Sunshine!’ to Edinburgh this summer. And let me tell you—it’s not your average clown show.
Coin hits the Gilded Balloon Patter House Bothie Room from July 30th to August 10th 2025, and she’s bringing the full storm-sunshine combo. Sunshine! is what happens when an inner child takes the stage solo, lugging the weight of a would-be double act whose other half may or may not show up. What begins with giggles ends with a quiet sting—a poignant nod to the lesser-known sidekick of addiction.
But don’t let that scare you off! Coin promises it’s “NOT SAD!” (Her words, not mine—though I did chuckle out loud mid-delivery). Expect a sermon from a cheeky Greek Orthodox priest, a security guard having a suspiciously good time rummaging through handbags, and a video call pep talk from “American Dad” himself. There’s razzle, there’s dazzle, and there are tributes tucked in for the unsung heroes—those who shine brightly for loved ones facing the shadows of addiction.
And for all you musical nerds, Liz threads nods to everything from Chicago and RENT to Wicked, Singin’ in the Rain, and even the slapstick stylings of Buster Keaton. She’s got flair, she’s got heart, and she’s got viral sketch hits to prove it (including her much-shared “That One Couple in Every High School”).
With appearances from Broadway’s Next Hit Musical, Off-Broadway’s Chimp Cocktail, and stages all over the US—including The Second City and UCB—this is Coin’s long-awaited UK debut. So pop the kettle on, circle your Fringe diary, and grab your sunshine while it’s hot.
