Grace Finally Escapes Captivity In The Various Methods Of Escape

The Various Methods of Escape by Amber Spooner is set to
make its London premiere on December 3rd at the “Bread and Roses Theatre” with original
Australian theatre company “Mon Sans Productions” at the helm.

This is to be Mon Sans Production’s first international work after over a decade of creating
original theatre in Sydney, Australia.

The play follows Grace, an 18 year old who has finally escaped 12 years in captivity. Once
she returns to her family she is determined to discover a life for herself without the constant
prescience of her captor.

The Various Methods of Escape was written as part of ‘The Hive’ program run by “The
Street Theatre” in Canberra in 2019. It was later developed through “Script In Hand”, an
open mic script development program run by “Actors Anonymous” in 2020.

The show battled through 2 years of Covid lock downs before finally premiering in 2022 to
full houses at the “Actor’s Pulse” in Sydney Australia.

A year later, writer Amber Spooner moved to London, giving way for the show to be picked
up by “The Bread and Roses Theatre” known for showcasing original outgoing works.
‘Creating this show has been such a labour of love. It’s been with me for so many years,
taken me to different cities, and now countries. I’m so excited to share it with you.’’ said
Amber Spooner
