Feminist Retelling Of The Great Gatsby

The cast announcement for Scar Theatre’s thrilling adaptation of The Great Gatsby is here, and it’s set to be a spectacular event at The Cockpit this winter! This innovative take on Fitzgerald’s iconic Jazz Age novel promises to invigorate audiences by queering the central love story and igniting a powerful call to action in the ongoing quest for true equality. With themes of love, loss, and social stratification as relevant today as ever, this production is sure to resonate deeply.

Emily Serdahl will captivate us as Gatsby, the enigmatic and affluent female socialite grappling with identity and societal expectations. Joining her is Ethan Bareham as Nick Carraway, whose journey reveals the hidden deceptions behind Gatsby’s opulent lifestyle. Lily Carson will dazzle as Daisy Buchanan alongside Roman Pitman’s portrayal of her contentious husband Tom.

Adding depth with dual interpretations are Danielle Nnene and Eleanor Dunlop in the roles of Jordan Baker and Lucille.
