Why Am I (Still) Like This? Edinburgh Fringe

Meet Nicole: She’s hyperverbal, chaotic, and a little bit dramatic
with deep self loathing and crippling self esteem issues. But when
she was 30, she found out that she wasn’t a complete disaster of a
person, she has ADHD. Three years later, (and without any prior
experience), she impulsively wrote and performed her first one
woman show at the 2023 Ed Fringe, about her late-in-life ADHD
discovery, Why Am I Like This?

Theatre Village decided to promote one show in its header and in its sidebar this year and Nicole Nadler’s show was chosen!

She braced herself for failure but the opposite happened –
everyone loved the show (and her?!) So why is she so… unhappy?
It doesn’t make sense: she understands her ADHD symptoms, her
greatest dream just came true, and everyone keeps saying they
love her. So why is it so hard to believe? Why is she so full of shame?

She’s back with a new show to answer a new question – Why Am I (Still) Like This?
Written and performed by New York native and Edinburgh-based Nicole Nadler, and directed by Arden
Winant, join this naturally funny and poignant but unpolished and raw performer as she explores the
dramedy that is a late-in-life ADHD discovery – and the many lingering after effects – even once you do
know why you are like this.
